Ingredients…
1 prebaked pizza crust
1 full cooked barbequed or regular pulled pork (18 ounces)
1 20 ounce can pineapple drained chunks
1 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded smoked Gouda cheese
1/2 cup diced red onion
2 tablespoons cinnamon
Directions…
Preheat the over to 375 degrees then place the pizza crust on baking sheet or pizza stone. Top the crust with the pulled pork and onions. Mix the cinnamon with the pineapple and place on pizza crust. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese and Gouda cheese evenly all over pizza. Bake for approximately 20 minutes until pizza is cooked through and the cheese is bubbling and crust is golden brown. Remove from oven and let stand for a couple of minutes. Slice and serve.
Tips…
You may substitute the prebaked pizza crust making your own crust with pizza dough which is just as delightful. If using your own stretched pizza crust, brush the outer edge with olive oil so it will not be burned while cooking. When using a pizza stone, preheat the oven to 500 degrees for about 30 minutes heating the stone, then lower to 375 placing pizza on top. This will ensure that the crust is cooked underneath thoroughly. BBQ pulled pork gives the pizza a wonderful taste which blends extremely well with the pineapple.
There is nothing like making your own pizza loaded with the flavors you want. It is a great way for the whole family to help in the preparations, the waiting patiently till the pizza is cooked and of course the best part, eating it.
