Pork can make for a delicious appetizer for any occasion; be it a holiday get together, or some football fun. Here are a couple of recipes to enjoy!
Smokey Bacon Wraps
1 pound of sliced bacon
1 package of mini smoked sausage
1 cup brown sugar
Before you begin, warm the oven to 400 degrees then cut the bacon strips in half. In a foil lined, non-stick, oven safe dish, place each of the sausage wrapped bacon bites and cover them with brown sugar. A little bit of butter may be a great addition as well to caramelize the sugar. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the bacon is nice and crispy, and the sausage is cooked through.
Sweet Pulled Pork
1lb Pork Tenderloin
Garlic Salt
Root Beer
1 cup brown sugar
Sprinkle garlic salt along your pork tenderloin; you can slice it up so it fits easier into your crock pot. Place the tenderloin in your crock pot along with the brown sugar and fill with the root beer soda until it is covered. Cooking time depends greatly on your crock pot so it can take a couple hours till the meat is coked, but it will be delicious.
